Today in class, we worked with lighting. Light can make images look great or ruin it all for the photographer. The backdrop is up for grabs, but it needs to be visually appealing to make an image powerful. If the photographer wanted to avoid graphics in their background, then a simple black or white backdrop will be enough for the appealing look he or she strives for in their images. I learned it is important to get the eyes and bright up the lower eye lids of the subjects being photographed because it is what will make their face pop out more and give the viewers something to focus on. Overall today’s lesson was fun and important to know because it is crucial to have the right lighting in any circumstance, whether it is film or photography.
